CERTIFIED POOL / SPA OPERATOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

A CPO® Certification gives you the basic knowledge, skills, and techniques of spa and pool operations. This program has helped protect numerous swimmers by reducing dangers and hazards at aquatic facilities. 

The NSPF® Certified Pool / Spa Operator® (CPO®) Certification program is available as a blended training program. The CPO® Certification program is also eligible for IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

COURSE OPTIONS

The CPO® Certification program includes a two-day instructor based class (14-16 hours) or the combination of an online Pool Operator Primer™ and one day of the Pool Operator Fusion™ (instructor based class). An open book written examination is required.

The two to three day classes cover 14-16 hours of information from the NSPF® Pool & Spa Operator™ Handbook and local codes taught by a certified NSPF® Instructor. This allows a direct interaction with the instructor and the fellow students. If you pass the open book exam, you will be awarded the CPO® certification.

The online training program can be an alternate method of earning a CPO® Certification. It follows the curriculum in the NSPF® Pool & Spa Operator™ Handbook.

BONUSES OF THE COURSE 

Students get access to the Pool Operator Primer™ online program for six months to review the material as many times they need. The one-day in-person class is offered by a certified NSPF® instructor. 

Sign-up for the second day of any two-day classroom certification course or a stand-alone one-day Pool Operator Fusion™ class. Students must present a Pool Operator Primer™ Record of Completion and pass an open book exam to obtain the CPO® Certification.
